Our Story

A Journey Built on Love, Faith, and Family

It all started seven years ago, on August 1, 2018 we grabbed a movie and dinner and instantly there was a connection. After a couple weeks we were practically already living together, and little did we know, it was the beginning of something so much bigger.

Our story hasn't been without challenges. We remember the times where we were at our lowest, relying solely on faith and hard work to get us through. But God provided in incredible ways. Through persistence and dedication, Chris built a thriving construction business, and we are so grateful for the blessings that now allow Brianna to focus on our family as a Stay-At-Home Mom. We are also so thrilled for Brianna's recent accomplishment of earning her real estate license!

Our beautiful family is complete with our two precious boys David Christian Edwards Jr., 4, and Waylon Charles Edwards,1. They have brought so much joy and chaos into our lives, and every day with them is a true gift. We are excited for the many big things ahead and are overjoyed that you will be joining us as we finally say " I do".

Chris was renting a home in Cottontown at the time we met and gradually it went from "Your not coming here tonight?" to Bri moving right in.

The Gallatin House

April 2019

After many lows of trying to get on our feet by the grace of God, we found our first official place together in Gallatin TN

Expecting DJ!

August 2020

Found out we were pregnant with our first son, David Christian Edwards Jr.

Moved into Our Home!

October 2020

We moved into our first home together, where we would start our family.

DJ was Born!

April 2021

Our first pride and joy, DJ, made his grand entrance into the world.

Edwards Construction Begins

September 2022

Chris took a leap of faith and officially started his own business, Edwards Construction.

Expecting Waylon!

March 2024

Found out our family was growing again with our second son, Waylon.

Waylon was Born!

November 2024

Our second little blessing, Waylon Charles Edwards, completed our family.

She Said Yes!

July 2025

Chris asked, and Brianna said "yes!" A perfect proposal to begin our forever.

Bri Gets Her License!

December 2025

Brianna accomplished a huge goal and earned her Real Estate License.

Maid of Honor

Riley is my little sister, and even though we’re six years apart and spent our childhood arguing more than anything else, growing up changed everything. We became moms almost at the same time—our babies are only three months apart—and that brought us closer than ever. Now she’s one of my best friends, my go-to shopping buddy, and the person I can be completely lazy with while our kids run wild together. Having her as my Maid of Honor means the world to me.

Kynsli is my 15-year-old little step sister, and she has been in my life since she was just seven. I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful young woman who reminds me so much of myself. She is always willing to help—especially with my boys—whether I’m working or just need a moment to breathe. Her sweet heart and steady presence make her such a special part of this day.

Mary Ellen, my 16-year-old sister-in-law, came into my life when she was nine. I’ve watched her grow into an incredibly mature, talented, and artistic young lady. She carries herself with a confidence and grace well beyond her years. I love seeing her pour her heart into everything she does and succeed at it. I’m so grateful to have her standing beside me.

Destiny has been my best friend for 11 years. We met when I was 16 and working at Sonic, and we’ve been through so many seasons of life together. She’s always been in my corner. I watched her become a mom at 16 and work so hard to give her boys the very best—her strength inspires me constantly. She’s the kind of friend I don’t have to talk to every day, but when we do talk, I’ll bug her until she finally answers. Whether she’s running late or not (and she usually is), she always shows up when it matters.

Oh my Livvy, I met Olivia about six years ago through her aunt, who happened to be my neighbor when we lived at the Gallatin house. Olivia was attending Vol State and would stop by her aunt’s on breaks. One day, after some friendly neighborhood matchmaking, Lynn handed her my number because apparently I “needed more friends.” She wasn’t wrong—because once Liv and I met, we were inseparable. We hung out every single day. Even after moving an hour away, she’s still someone I can count on for absolutely anything.

They’ve been teammates, classmates, co-workers—you name it—and have shared just about every season of life side by side. David is always up for an adventure and never hesitates to lend a hand. He’s the kind of loyal, dependable friend every groom hopes to have standing next to him on his big day.

Michael is Chris’s younger brother, and even with six years between them, they’ve always been close. Michael is driven, hardworking, and doing big things for himself—and Chris couldn’t be more proud of him. He’s the one who keeps Chris feeling young and is always down for something fun.

Ty Mangrum

Ty is Chris’s other younger brother—though most people know him as the “bigger younger brother.” They share a lot of the same interests, especially drinking beer and playing pool, and they’ve built countless memories together over the years. Ty brings laughs, loyalty, and a whole lot of personality to the groom’s party.
